About Friends of Wild Salmon
The Friends of Wild Salmon is a group of residents of British Columbia’s North Coast and Skeena watershed who have come together to work towards a common goal: the protection of wild salmon.
We originally came together to prevent the threat of fish farms near the mouth of the Skeena.
Following the success of our fish farm campaign, we have redirected our efforts toward protecting the headwaters of the Skeena from coalbed methane drilling.
We are now working to protect Skeena wild salmon from threats associated with the oil pipeline proposed by Enbridge, which will carry oil from the Alberta tar sands to an oil tanker port at Kitimat.
